For cultural institutions, promotion and communication are an increasingly digital matter. Any type of cultural content must now bear a “relational” dimension, as audiences are now permanently connected. Before, during, and after a visit, contacts and interactions with the audience are fundamental issues, as they convey both meaning and values.
In this context, FABERNOVEL has been commissioned by the Réunion des musées nationaux – Grand Palais for the design and development of its new digital ecosystem. This project also serves as a milestone in the recent merger of RMN and the Grand Palais into one unique institution.
FABERNOVEL’s work covered:
1) The full redesign of the http://www.grandpalais.fr/ website
2) The design and development of two matching smartphone applications (iOS and Android, both free), conducted by Applidium, FABERNOVEL’s subsidiary dedicated to mobile apps and tablets
3) The design and development of a free iPad application based on the website’s “Magazine” and “Program” sections, also conducted by Applidium
4) The design of rmngp.fr, Rmn-GP’s new institutional website built to showcase its activities and missions.
