Created in 2004,following a partnership between Bouygues Telecom and faberNovel aiming at solving mobile ticketing issues with QR Codes, Digitick has become the first online ticketing service in France.
faberNovel’s work
Following an experiment aiming at solving mobile ticketing issues with QR Codes in collaboration with Bouygues Telecom, in February 2004, in Paris-Dauphine University, faberNovel partnered with the telecom company. A few weeks after, digitick was born
digitick is an online ticketing service (mobile or fixed): one can buy concert tickets, festivals, sport events, amusement parks, museums and more.
E-ticketing French leader, digitick offers a fast and efficient solution allowing to print or receive with certified mail tickets bought online, or to download them directly on the buyer’s mobile phone.
digitick provides events organizers with control tools equipped with bar code readers.
faberNovel was in charge of the project from its creation to its « excubation » in January 2006.
In December 2006, SFR Development acquired a stake in digitick. A second round took place in September 2007 with Partech International, CM-CIC Capital Privé and CIC Finance and High Co Venture.
faberNovel then became a minority investor in the company.
Digitick was eventually sold to Vivendi in January 2011.
Results
Today, digitick has partnered with some of the most important music festivals in France (Rock en Seine, Solidays, Francofolies, etc.), major venues (l’Olympia, le Zenith, etc.), and the main stadiums (Stade de France, Stade Velodrome, etc.)
